Shared Administrative Leadership

Horizons K-8’s shared leadership model reimagines school leadership, splitting the traditional Head of School and Assistant Head roles into three distinct positions: Head of School, Dean, and TOSA. Rather than a primary/secondary hierarchy, each leader owns a clear piece of the picture (administrative leadership, student and family support, and instructional excellence) working in true partnership. The result: leaders stay focused rather than stretched thin, and families and staff get direct access to the right expert. The structure launches as a one-year pilot, with plans to refine it based on how it works in practice.
