Jane Goodall Visits Horizons K8 School

Horizons was honored to host renowned anthropologist, Jane Goodall. Jane came to our school to talk to us about her ground breaking work with chimpanzees and to remind us about the wisdom of our animal friends.  All grades K-8, parents, community members and the press spent an afternoon captivated by Ms. Goodall's stories.  She spoke of her respect and admiration for Nature and its many forms. We ended our time together by planting trees in "Gombe Grove". Each of the 10 trees was named for one of Jane's chimpanzees.  Gombe Grove flourishes today at Horizons.
