After School Clubs
Clubs are often based on student interest and change yearly. Students are invited to request and organize after-school clubs and meet-ups.
The Horizons Ultimate Club WANTS YOU!
Coming off back-to-back state middle school championship titles, we are hoping to see a lot of new people who are up for learning this fast-paced, fun-filled game.
If you like soccer, flag football, or basketball, you're going to love ultimate! Our 2 new coaches, Liana and Lena, are eager to get you throwing, catching, cutting, and playing defense. We’ll focus on playing and having fun while we develop skills and learn basic playing strategies. 5th-8th grades, no experience needed, all genders welcome!
COST: $25/child/semester + optional gameday/tournament fees (see below)
PRACTICES: Mondays and Wednesdays, 3:45-5:15PM, Sept 4th-Oct 23rd (no practice Sept 16th-19th) Horizons K-8 field
GAMES: Altitude Ultimate game days will likely be on Wednesdays (instead of practice) in October with an end of season tournament on Oct 26th.
GAME CLUB
We are playing games such as Magic, Pokemon, and any other card or board games.
Starting on Monday, September 9th After School.
Grades 3 through 8th.
Hawks Hoops YMCA Fall Season
We are in the process of organizing Horizons basketball teams for the upcoming fall Jr. Buffs program through the YMCA (starting week of 10/21). They offer leagues for kids ages 5-14 so we are hoping again to put teams together for each age level (5-6, 7-8, 9-10, 11-12, 13-14). In order to make that happen we're looking for...

Parents that are interested in volunteering to coach and help manage teams (roughly 3 hour commitment weekly for 6 weeks)

If you are interested in having your child participate, please complete the following interest form. This will help us to make sure that your child gets matched with a Horizons team/coach and that you receive follow up communication.
