Development/Fundraising/501(c)(3)
The Development Committee is a Horizons Board Committee focused on fundraising and marketing for Horizons K-8 Charter School. Community Members work with administration building a fundraising/marketing campaign to offset the funding gap we face as a charter school and to help support Horizons K8's unique extra programming. (i.e. lower student/teacher ratio, overnight field trips and individualized learning support systems, etc.)
Volunteers are always needed for these events and activities:

Annual Gala and Auction - We are looking for volunteers that like to throw a good party and raise money for a good cause!

ARTastic Winter Market - showcasing up to 50 local Front Range vendors, volunteers create a festive holiday bizaar for all your gift buying.

Dine and Donate - We would love to have 1 or 2 volunteers to help us organize some Dine and Donate opportunities for Horizons families. This is a great program working with local restaurants who will donate a percentage of their sales to Horizons. Place could include Krispy Kreme Donuts, In and Out Burger, Mod Market, Chipotle and so much more.

Grant Team - Help Horizons find and apply for grants that would help serve our programming and our school.

Social Media Team - We are looking for volunteers to help our open enrollment efforts by creating "word of mouth" social media content. If you are on FaceBook, Instagram or other social media platforms, and like to share about all of our amazing programming, this is the team for you. Spirit Wear - Our current volunteer is graduating and we need someone to step in to organize and manage our swag sales. For example, organizing and ordering for the Spirit Week, BVSD Showcase, Back to School Night, ARTastic, and New Parent Night.
