Arts education at Horizons is a joyful way for students to understand themselves and the world with greater depth and nuance. As they learn to communicate through complex symbols, students grow their imaginations, expressiveness, and creativity — while building teamwork, self-esteem, critical and abstract thinking, observation, innovation, and analytical skills along the way.

Our art program includes opportunities in:

• Visual art — drawing, painting, watercolor, and charcoal
• 3-dimensional art — clay, sculpture, and building/design
• Art history — understanding art movements across time
• Integrated arts — connecting art with literature, science, environmental studies, and math
• Digital arts — media design, photography, and digital program applications
