K-8 Education
The Benefits of K-8 Education

At Horizons K-8, students stay with us from kindergarten all the way through 8th grade — and that matters more than you might think.
Research shows that students in K-8 schools tend to do well academically in the middle grades, supported by a smaller, more stable community as they grow. One large study of over 40,000 eighth-graders found K-8 schools significantly outperformed other models, thanks in part to strong continuity and fewer disruptions during a critical developmental stretch.
Students also tend to feel more confident in their abilities. A study from NYU found that K-8 students reported strong confidence in their skills and a genuine interest in learning, supported by teachers who know them well.
Fewer transitions. Stronger relationships. Teachers and staff who know your child for years, not months. That's what our K-8 model is built around.
