Jasmine Graves Black-Clemons, Head of School

Welcome Horizons families to a new school year!

My name is Jasmine Graves Black-Clemons, students can call me GBC, and I am the Head of School at Horizons K-8. I am so excited for this upcoming school year and getting to share our vision with you and our scholars. Horizons K-8 guides students to become self-directed learners in a supportive, collaborative environment rooted in critical thinking, justice and choice. As a community, our Hawks espouse four values: Community, Responsibility, Diversity, and Growth.

As a school we want to maintain strong parent and teacher partnerships to enhance our community and help all scholars excel. We welcome your support and feedback. If you have any questions or concerns, please reach out to the front office at 720-561-3600.

Again, I am honored to be a Horizons Hawk and look forward to working with each student and their family to reach their highest potential.

Assistant Head of School, Kristin Hauger

My name is Kristin Hauger, and I’m glad and grateful to be the Assistant Head of School at Horizons K-8. My niece and nephew, and daughter are proud Horizons graduates. I loved watching them grow into self-directed learners who care deeply about their community and the world. Their  growth as scholars and humans took skill, time, empathy, and commitment from teams of teachers, paras, staff, volunteers, and family. As a passionate educator and lifelong learner, I knew that I wanted to be a part of the Horizons community if I could. 

I am excited to join GBC and the rest of the Horizons Hawks in our wonderful work of building self-directed scholars, compassionate humans, inclusive communities, and a healthier, happier world.
